The Andalusian, also known as the Pure Spanish horse or PRE I shows strong genetic similarities with the Portuguese horse breed The Lusitano. This horse breed with its baroque appearance is a popular guest at horse shows and other equestrian events. The Frisian horse and the Lipizzaner origin from the Andalusian.
Andalusians tend to be docile, while remaining intelligent and sensitive. Andalusian horses are elegant and strongly built. When treated with respect, they are quick to learn, responsive and cooperative. This horse rarely shows misconduct in the stables but prefers – as all other horses – to be outside.
